A tropical well

I almost missed this well on a sunday walk through berkeley because it is hidden by the greenery of a california winter.

Merry Christmas!

As a Holiday Special, we're posting a simple, classic decorative well from Downeast Maine.  It's a little crooked, possibly due to settling of the foundation.  But otherwise it looks sturdy and well placed... surrounded by many of the usual yard companions: run-down shed with doors swinging open, satellite dish, flag pole, old lobster trap, untrimmed bushes, etc.

Yes, it's only decorative

You'll have to trust us on this one... we tried it and the pump doesn't work, so we're calling it a decorative well, though definitely far from classic styling.

Decorated Well

At first glance, this looks like a typical Decorative Well, prominently displayed along the road in Downeast Maine.  Closer inspection reveals that it's most likely a real well with a Gazebo on top... impostor!

Discreet Decorative Well (DDW?)

We almost missed this one... tucked discreetly behind several trees in the yard. Exciting to find and catch another Maine Decorative Well!

Holy Well!

This is a decorative well, itself decorated with a statue of the Virgin Mary.  It's a little  hard to see since it's so far from the road, but it's there, among all the other holiday decorations (though something tells me the Virgin Mary isn't just there for the holidays).
